Edic Mini

The Digital Voice Recorder Edic-Mini (DVR) is intended for record of the voice messages in a frequency band 300-3400 Hz in the flash-memory. It can play back the stored messages using the earphone or download the messages to the personal computer as standard sound files. DVR type S provides a recording capability in the "Stereo" mode on two channels simultaneously. DVR type SM uses external flash-memory: SmartMedia cards by size up to 128 Mbytes, DVR’s of remaining types — built-in flash-memory.

The DVR has a small overall dimensions and mass, major duration of record of voice (depending on model from 2.3 hr to 149 hr (and much more with enabled Voice Activation System (VAS)), has a high-sensitive built-in microphone (range up to 8 m) and a wide dynamic range. Because of absence of moving parts the DVR is efficient in a broad band of temperatures, in conditions of jolting and dust content.

With the help of the adapter, included in a package, the DVR is connected to the computer. The included software package allows to save stored messages as standard sound files, to program user interface of a DVR, to use a DVR for storage and carry of files by size up to 161024 Mbytes, depending on model.

Since Edic-Mini has no moving parts it can safely operate in a wide environmental range and without being detected by the special equipment. The following models DVR seven types are released (the type denotation is in the beginning the denotation of model up to a hyphen):

Telephone conversation adapter-recorder (TCAR-EM)
TCAR-EM is used for automatic telephone conversation record on the digital voice recorder "EDIC-mini" (except A,S models). The adapter is plugged to the socket for additional devices of a DVR. TCAR-EM is connected to the connector forthe additional devices

Telephone adapter-recorder “EDIC-Expert”
Telephone adapter-recorder in application of digital voice recorder “EDIC-mini” provides incoming and outgoing calls registration (number/time/date recording) and telephone conversation record. Adapter can be used with digital voice recorder “EDIC- mini” (except A, S models), which has connector for additional devices.

Remote microphones
With DVR types B, B1, B1W, C and SM it is possible to use remote microphones, which are connected to the socket for connection of additional devices. After connection of a remote microphone the built-in microphone of a DVR is disabled, and the record is yielded on a remote microphone. The microphones have length of a cable of 0,5 m. Two variants of microphones are released: usual and amplifying. The amplifying microphone has relative sensitivity +10 dB in relation to usual and built-in microphones.

Remote control
Remote control can be used with the digital voice recorders “EDIC-mini” (except models A, S), released not earlier March 2002. Remote control is connected to the connector for the additional devices. Remote control is connected to the “EDIC-mini” with the one meter wire.
